This restaurant belongs to a cluster of new restaurants that have risen in this northern section of Playa Del Carmen. It’s one of the hidden treasures of this area. If you’re looking for a quiet and romantic place, then Origenes is worth it.
Locals and visitors love eating here because the food is traditionally and exceptionally Mexican. It’s homemade and very tasty. Everyone seems to love the lime soup, so we suggest you give that a try as well. Some appetizers are different specialty every night, but the most popular is its Tuna Starter, which is definitely to die for.
The main course offers plenty of exotic and fusion choices, where every ingredient is always fresh. And although these are homemade food, they taste like exquisite gourmet dishes. The traditional ceviche come highly recommended, as well as its beef brisket and ravioli.
